As I once stood at the Wailing Wall, I was struck by the resilient spirit of this historical nation. However, it has experienced more wars with neighbors than any nation since 1948. The recent assassination of the Hamas leader in Iran and Hezbollah commander in Lebanon has pushed the conflicts to a new height.

For decades, Palestine and Lebanon have lacked unified governing bodies, and the militant groups are recognized as sharing governing bodies by Islamic society. Consequently, Israel’s assassinations are perceived as attacks on both nations and the Arab culture. Even Western society is intricately divided. Therefore, Israel must exercise self-restraint, allowing tensions to ease and following with a constructive peace treaty with its neighbors.

Let’s aim for peace between Israel and the Arab world.
